golonka w piwie, hocks in beerOne of the most iconic foods of Polish cusine, Golonka w Piwie is simple, but tasty and popular dishes. Easy to prepare, it is consumed usually with bread, horseradish, cabbage, sometimes with peas.


Pork Hocks
Dark Beer 0.5l
Herbes de Provence

Wash hocks carefully. Combine all the spices with 5 - 6 tablespoons olive oil, and rub it into hocks, leftovers pour into ovenproof dish. Leave hocks in fridge for 2-3 hours.

Bake hocks at 180 degrees for about 1.5 hours, in covered dish. During baking pour beer from the time. Remove cover for last few minutes of baking for golden colours.

Serve with boiled cabbage, fresh bread, horseradish and mustard.
